The Unseen
"A Detroit Beat Tape"
Ryan Moffett is a visual artist based in Belfast N. Ireland who works with both still photography and video. His artworks often explore the topics of authenticity and fiction. Currently Moffett’s practice explores the deceptive nature of documentary practice as a ‘truth’ telling device. Representational editing is idiosyncratic of Moffett's approach. His work often layers disparate forms of mass media that are commonly perceived as carriers of 'factual' information to develop fiction.
